    hi there i am hoping to get some ansewers to my questions here , i am wiring a garage . in my home i have a two hundred amp splittter which i am taking 100 amps from i have purchased a 100 amp dis connect what should this be mounted to?, i am using teck cable 3/3do i need any other protection going through my foundation? outside the home i have dug a 24 inch trench to the garage , do i need any other protection for the teck cable?

    Hi Johnny,

    It is very difficult to give accurate "how-to-do-it" advice on a forum like this, not being able to see the installation. Minor details can be very important.
    There are grounding/bonding issues that can affect the safety of the installation, as well as the obvious insurance and liability issues.

    My sincere advice is to get a qualified electrician on the site to advise you.
