I have them.

They suck donkey nuts....

Right now m y nose is running down my face... and yesterday...I couldn't open my eyes...... at all...

other than that...life's peachy!

i totally understand, chloe... *huggs*... had to ice my eyes this morning just so they would open enough to get to work.. and then again before driving to the doctor's office, where i thought they were going to do something to HELP me. mine is not a seasonal thing, though. i mean i have them.... but mine are a minor irritation generally... yours sound much more severe... [img]frown.gif[/img] mine is a reaction to something as of yet undefined for certain... *muttering*... the bastards took away my Benedryl!!! [img]eek.gif[/img] i have to go on like this, all swollen and leaky-eyed, rashed out all over, for a WEEK until i can get in with a specialist for some testing. i BEGGED for a cortisone shot... or some eyedrops... SOMETHING to make the next week tolerable... but nope... not a single antihistimine or medicine of ANY kind can i take until the testing is done, so as not to invalidate the results.... GR. I can't even use my inhalers, which sucks, because i am having a fair amount of difficulty breathing right now. (possibly due to internal hives caused by whatever-it-is..)Thank GOD i don't have that runny nose thing, that's enough to drive you insane... you can only drip from your nose for SO long before you start to get desperate... you HAVE to wipe... but when you do, it feels like someone is ripping off your skin.... [img]frown.gif[/img]

here are a few tips i have learned in the past 2 or 3 weeks that might make things a little more tolerable... some of them i'm sure you've thought of, but hey.. ANYTHING that will give relief is worth mentioning, just in case.

first of all, go out to any local department store, and get a gel eye mask. Not the big one, that has the holes where your eyes go, but the mini-mask, i think it's called a gel eyeLID mask... it sits right on your eyes... which is sort of an uncomfortable feeling... but it really does help with the itching and swelling. Clean your eyes really well with warm water, then slap that mask on to take down the swelling... after you've sucked all the cold out of it, lol, then take some vaseline, and i know i know... it sounds stupid... but put a light coating just under your lashes on the bottom, a dab in the corners, and a thin line across the lids... it feels kinda funky, and it doesn't actually KEEP your eyes from watering, but it does keep that sensitive skin around your eyes from being wiped and ripped to peices because the, for lack of a better term, eye goo, doesn't touch your skin directly. That will make them feel less sore. it's good for under your nose too, to keep it from getting raw under there....

most importantly... DON"T BEND OVER!!! [img]confused.gif[/img] lol, anyone with bad allergies will understand what happens when you do... *L*. *huggs*... i hope you feel better very soon.... [img]graemlins/rose.gif[/img]

allergy update!

today i went to the zoo cuz they have a photography contest going til Thursday....

so i sneezed and snorted my way thru it all...let's hope i get some good pics....
