What does the Resident beside my name mean? Why do some people have stars below their names...have they been promoted over me again??? I want a promotion dammit..I'm always left behind *sigh*

I can't say I like this new format much, but since I'm gonna be posting here...someone please explain all the new stuff to me....and tell me how I can become a 5 star general please!!
