The Pledge

I pledge Allegiance to the flag,
Look high as the eagle cries.

Of the United States of America,
On out spread wing, justice flies.

And to the Republic for which it stands,
Roll up your sleeves Uncle Sam.

One Nation, under GOD,
To hell those bastards we damn.

With Liberty,
Awaken a sleeping giant

And Justice,
Who now stands defiant.

For ALL,
Justice will be served.

Old Glory Flies

It was a bright day,
Life was moving on.
No one had much to say,
Till upward eyes were drawn.

The sky now turned black
And silence upon the streets fell.
Tears still fall as we look back,
A year ago remembered all too well.

The Twins no longer reach to the sky,
The pentagon hit, now wounded pride.
We wonder why so many had to die,
Yet still we move on with full stride.

For those lost, we shall not forget.
With heads held high, Old Glory flies without regret.
