i just read in Time Mag. that candy makers are bringing back "candy cigarettes" and bubble gum Cigars...what the hell are they thinking (profits??)- we tell, i hope, kids the dangers of smoking and yet we give them things to practice on.
whats next??? "Candy Cocaine" or lil Bud bottles with sugar water in them...???
"Now kids- we never want you to use the real things but go ahead and try the candy ones..."
it's like i've said before- makes as much sense and the chew toys for dogs that look like the newspaper- slippers- and babies we have offered for them to chew up but if they do it to the real items...well...the message is screwed up.

maybe it's just me...but my two boys didn't even get toy guns to play with. when the time came and they asked questions about guns- i took one to the firing range to let him see the power of real guns and the other decided that computers were much more interesting...and yes- there were guns and violence in many games he shared with friends so i dunno-
over reacting?

I gave away bubble gum cigars when my kid were born.
Was that a good thing or a bad thing?
