Okay, last Christmas I received a list of Soldier's address that were stationed overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. Most of them had no family or friends writing to them or anything. Anyway, I went kind of postal...literally and sent a dozen or so Christmas cards and letters to Men and Women in the armed forces I have never met. Okay there is one thing that gets to me...you can dog the president, dog the war, but DON'T dog the troops. They are the ones fighting and dying and keeping us safe. They are the ones over there away from thei families and friends so we don't have to be. So below is a link. And all I ask is if you could even just send a one message. It's called Operation Dear Abby. I just want them to know we care and at least try to put a smile on their face if only for a moment. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
"Operation Dear Abby" which she started years ago to bring cheer to people overseas. They need it more than ever now. So here's an online hub of that process:

Another wonderful link. It is amazing how something like a note or card from a total stranger can cause the rise in moral of a homesick member of our military.
