If I have a car that travels at the speed of light and I put the full beam on.....what happens?

OK so you're driving your car faster than the speed of light.Correct? Could anyone know? I mean, if the car is moving faster than the light that is being reflected off of it, then no one could possibly know that you were moving faster than light, because they'd have no way of noticing you, other than by seeing you...and the only way to see "you" is to see the light bouncing off of you.
They would assume that that light is actually your car, and not that your car went by them a while ago...so they'd never know you were going faster than the speed of light...

Unless you hit them before they could see you?LOL.. goes and thinks some more

Travelling at that speed your car would be broken down to mere molecules. Therefore you would never be able to turn on the high beams.

Babe!!! love that answer so much -smiles and kisses you- The car is not going faster, just at the speed of light. True that light bounces off things and this gives us our vision of things.

Is a bit of a joke question but the answer does lay in relativity [img]wink.gif[/img]

So you are right, it would do nothing as the person would be hit at the same time the light traveled and the they would have a dely in the speed of the electro chemical message and the dely in the synaptic speed of the thought and reaction.

Rev, great answer. I do think you thinking of particles as mass becomes infinite as it approaches the speed of light and molecules hold mass and do not travel at the speed of light.
