After seeing KingBean make a big deal about his lasagna, I decided I would also post about my dinner experience. Mine isn't as fun though. I had all the ingredient in my apartment, i didn't have to go out in the rain, and nothing went wrong..

but here is the final result of my spaghetti

(go ahead and make fun of the beverage, it went very well with my dinner)

dude..... we should totally have a spaghetti cook-off!!!

yours looks good... but i bet mine is better

and really... the cook-off would only consist
of the sauce... since technically all the noodles
are somewhat the same!

and wtf do you have a knife????

ya know, i don't remember, i had one to cut up the noodles before i served it, (simply because i like to cut my noodles sometimes), but i don't remember why i put one on my plate, i ate chicken tonight, and all i used was a spoon (i had mashed potatoes too)...i have no idea why there i had a knife

as for a cookoff...that was the first time i ever made spaghetti, you would kick my ass

and by the way, that is just ragu sauce with a small can of mushrooms, some chicken, a clove of garlic, and some salt and pepper to taste.

if your sauce is from a can... i can tell you
how to make some from scratch that is much
cheaper and yummier.

but regardless... i'm starving... and that shit looks good

two words: tomato paste

add water until it reaches the consistancy
you like (i like mine thick.. so i usually
add about a can of water per can of paste...
give or take).

there's yer pallate....

then add ingredients.... garlic, oregano, pepper,
whatever you want... mushrooms...

i prefer to add some sauteed onions
(cut up a whole yellow onion...
put a spoon of butter in a saucepan... add onion,
stir around until onion is tender...) then i
add my paste and water and other ingredients.

oh... and add some sugar...
it will kill the bite of the tomato paste...
but add it only to taste.

a can of tomato paste runs about $0.50....
and onion is about the same....

so you can technically make A TON of sauce
for the same price you are paying for the
jar stuff....

try it next time.
