just got two of these out of a fixed install at a movie theater. One is damaged and Im keeping it for a re-cone, and future project. The other is in good shape and I put it on ebay.
Anyone have any information on these classic beasts?

Only place i found specs for the "A" was on this '54 catalog page. Note the higher Fs of 45 hz(paper suspension).

And, note the 60 dollar price tag. Though i suppose all things being relative, in 1954 60 bucks was a lotta gas money.
I bought 4 416As about 1969 for nearly the same money. Things were good back then. Except for the hourly pay...
IOW for a lot of folks the speaker was a week's pay...
I'm digging to see if I have a complete A spec sheet noticed only the front up on the web
Just found this thread where 'GM' has posted the TS parameters, from several measured 803As.

Found my receipt for the 416a. I actually paid $54 each, 5-3-69.
You still have a receipt for something you bought in 1969? I'm impressed!
(about $320 in today's cash)
Stuff is getting scattered. I had all my receipts for my stereo in an an evelope, but somethings have moved around a bit since then and are a little harder to find.
