when looking at the pond (?) line, it seems
that the second pic shows more "above ground"
detail than that in the water.
the second pic shows more "far away" detail,
which is why the first pic seems more realistic.
but then there's that issue of the closer
detail being more prevailent in the second pic...
hmmmm.......
