Why do most of the friends you had growing up turn out to be non friends. Life is strange.
I think you just grow apart. I don't speak regularly to anyone I knew growing up.
I dont think that happens with all of them though. I have two cousins I have been best friends with all our lives. Other than that I dont have many friends left I grew up with. We all change and like Lung said just plain grow apart. Sometimes we meet new friends that we just have more in common with than old friends. I have one cousin I grew up with and probably spent more time around than the other two cousins. We would do most anything together. Even joined the Military together. Now he has screwed his life up with drugs. I had offered to help him but if anyone knows someone on drugs they know how that went. He got so bad that he was stealing pain meds from our grandmother. Thats when it pissed many of us off. She is in a lot of pain with out them and would run out a week or more too early. Thats when we found out he had done it. I just hope he finally straightens up soon.
I see what you all are saying, but life is a strange animal. I like you two though!!!!!!
You're good people it'll be ok. :)
Life goes on. When you're young, there isn't much to get in the way. As you grow older, your obligations change.

I agree with NSSB, too. But I also think as you get older you learn what makes a true friend.
