You can set your profile to private. I would do that and not let anybody I didn't know add me.
i dont think i have any problems with old men trying to seduce me
If any solicitors or strangers send me a message on there I just delete it and don't reply back. I had a 24 year old woman try to hit on me there. For all we know it could be some gay guy pretending to be a girl. Not saying gays automatically are attracted to every single person of the same sex.
You can have your profile and all that set to private. And the only people who can see it are people on your friends list. My advice is. Set it to private and don't let anyone you don't know on your friends list.
Those are problems that myspace users can prevent. It's really not that different from any other site. I know you can set profiles to private. I've seen them when I lookedf at a friend's space. That's a precaution that they should take and another is don't add strangers to your list. Those incidents can be prevented and can keep myspace out of trouble.
So you had a 24 year old woman hit on you and you deleted her meessge. You scared of the pink man?
I didn't know her. She was from California. I'm not gay before I hear the "you're gay" from some people. I'm perfectly straight. I love women. For all I know she might not have even be who she said she was. There are predators everywhere. People just have to learn to use their heads.
I've been on a board where people give out their school naames to complete strnager. Things like this wouldn't happen if people used their heads.
What would a 24 year old woman want with a guy about a month and a half shy of turning 18 (and yes I'm still 17)? Sheprobably wasn't who she said she was.
You should have just said she didnt look good, that would have been a far better explanation. lol
Though I do understand where you are coming from, about 1 outta every 3 messages you get on there is from some "fake" account.
I hope MySpace burns.

No, but all those fine young ladies on your friends list might.
hahaha...probably
yeah because internet sites can now burn, they have become actual objects that can be burned...its a new feature...you can now also burn the wind, an idea, hunger, racism and santa clause
lmao at the last post..
speaking of myspace, the old lady had her's hijacked earlier, her ex logged in and deleted everything off her account, quite funny if you ask me, considering the guy is like 19..and i could understand something like that back in 4th or 5th grade...some people??????
Yeah, they can burn.
Hell, look at what happened to Napster!
*WOOSH* UP IN FLAMES!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
WOW YOU CAN REALLY FEEL THE HEAT!

Yeah take the side of the ones shutting down Napster and I'll learn to despise you. The only ones who really were hurt by Napster was the executives who just couldn't live on 25 million a year.
or tha guy from Metallica.
Then Napster sold out and started selling music again.
Napster really helped out up and coming artist, because instead of wastin 15 bucks on a new cd just to see if you liked an artist's style you could just download one of his songs. if you liked it, then you went out and bought the entire cd. if anything i think it helped line the pockets of musicans.
The artists who were putting out good music or at least 'appealing' music benefited. The most readily found, easily downloadble things I found back then was say N'Sync's POP or Backstreet Boys or Spears, you know the ones that set sales records.
Sure there was plenty of people who never would buy a cd if they could download it, no question, but you also could hit people who would buy that you would never have gotten before. There was a trade-off. Honestly it probably should be done in an Itunes way, should have before it got to the point, the industry just ignored things, till they had to fix it.
Agreed, it sucks that they took down Napster like that... now it's no better than the goofy iTunes crap.
I just stick to Limewire.
this just in...
vthokie22 has dropped limewire
You can drop an application like it's an actual object?
yep
drop it into the recycling bin
That's a good one there, I'll give you that.

hahahahaha.
but back to the subject at hand, if a hot 24 year old woman had messaged me on myspace when i was 17, i would have probally handled it a lil different.
I don't see what the big deal is.
Chances are that person probably wasn't who they said they were.
was her name Missy or something like that she messaged me too. The privacy options are just for younger people too if you are older you can't make your profile completely private
