NFL
I know baseball is big right about now but I'm still a football guy. So that being said lets talk about some of the news going around the league in the NFL.
Is Farve going to be playing in Green Bay next year?
Will Payton's surgery affect his 2008 season?
Whats the news on your favorite NFL team?
Any prediction on the playoffs and the superbowl?

Re: NFL
farve needs to shut the [censored] up
i hope peyton cant throw a ball 15 yards

super bowl will be
SF v. Buffalo

Re: NFL
HHAHAHAHA. This isnt 1991 Biggin.
-
Re: NFL
hey now, who says alex smith isnt joe cool and marshawn lynch isnt thurman thomas
-
Re: NFL
I would love to see Farve play another year!
Tennessee will do good things this year I think! I think they can go far in the playoffs if Vince steps up!
I hope Payton is done forever!
Chargers VS Dallas
Chargers

Re: NFL
Xknight52 aren't you a UT fan too and you don't even know how to spell Peyton. Tennessee will finish 3rd in the South again and miss the playoffs.
-
Re: NFL
My bad!!!
I am a Tennessee Vols fan but I hate Peyton!!! I don't know all about that! The Titans will do good things this year just watch! They made the playoffs last year and they'll do the same this year! I'm saying 1st or second in the AFC south this year!
-
Re: NFL
Great coach, poor skill position players. I would love to see Fisher coaching in Dallas one day.
-
Re: NFL
I'll agree with you about great coach but we some skill players that are going to do big things this year at least I hope! LenDale did pretty good last year and he had a banged up knee, plus Chris Johnson is going to be a threat!
I see them going to the playoffs but if Vince doesn't step up it's going to be a long year!
-
Re: NFL
1. I wish Favre would stay retired, he is ruining his public opinion with all of this.
2. I hope Peyton makes a full recovery, colts go nowhere without him.
3. News on my favorite team: See Question number 2
4. Super Bowl i got NE vs Green Bay
-
Re: NFL
The Favre drama will carry out through the summer...
Manning doesn't need training camp, he is that good..
AFC South finishes like this...Jaguars, Colts, Titans, Texans
Superbowl is...Cowboys vs. Jags.
-
Re: NFL
I doubt it!
I think the Titans or the Jags will win the AFC south! Colts will have a down year!
-
Re: NFL
It wouldn't surprise me to see the Texans leapfrog the Titans. There's really not a terrible team in it.
-
Re: NFL
Favre to the J E T S would be a great move
-
Re: NFL
What in the AFC South? I'll have to agree with you about that but you're not giving Tennessee their props. Tennessee has a great O line and a very strong D. Everyone knows they can run the ball, I just hope the passing game comes up big the year!
-
Re: NFL
If vince can pass the ball then the Titans could finish as high as 2nd. But if he continues being a 2nd halfback then the Titans will miss the playoffs
-
Re: NFL
The AFC south is a toss up this year! Jags, Titans, Colts and the Texans will all be good.
-
Re: NFL
The difference is that the Colts and Jags are really good. The Texans and Titans are just good.

How many years now is that you've predicted that or that Peyton would get injured and not finish the year? The Colts will win the AFC South until Peyton retires. They may lose 1 game this year in the South.

Re: NFL
whoa now lung
marvins lost his touch, and JAX only keeps getting better.
-
Re: NFL
IMO, Jacksonville has as good a chance to get to the Superbowl as anyone else in the AFC including NE and Indy.
-
Re: NFL
I don't really know what Marvin's lost. He had a 1 season with a knee injury. As long as he's throwing the ball, and it showed last year with Marvin out and Reggie catching over 1000 yds again, as long as there's at least 1 decent reciever and an average running game, they'll win 11+ games a year. Harrison was 34 yards away from 1400 yds the year before and his yards per season had climbed the past two before that. If that's a "lost touch", I'll take a team full of players with "lost touch".

Re: NFL
one year with dropped passes and not being able to shake coverage
hes lost a step or something.
Indy doesnt have the psychological advantage anymore, they dont intimitade JAX HOU or TEN
this will be the year VY leads his team further than Peyton does
-
Re: NFL
He hurt his knee early in the season. He couldn't shake your fat ass. It's amazing he went from 1400 yards, to 9 months later being done.

Talk to me in January. I'll owe you another one of these http://vmedia.rivals.com/images/smilies/roll.gif . It doesn't matter if they have a psychological advantage anymore or not, they still beat those ass's like the 90's Cowboys and 49'ers beat their league opponents. BTW... when the hell did the Colts ever intimidate JAX? The Colts are a bunch of 5'8" guys who don't really intimidate anyone, yet when they beat any of those three, they're left scratching their head and their ass.
-
Re: NFL
When peyton was throwing 49 tds and edge was bowling over people, they knew Indy could put up 40+ every game.
Now, they rely on the D more, and the offense jus isnt as scary as it was.
49ers toughest opponents were always NFC teams, DAL GB and NYG
only one SB was close, when the Bengals miracously stayed close.
-
Re: NFL
Make that 2...the bengals were within less than a TD both times they played SF.
-
Re: NFL
the 49ers are still a team?
-
Re: NFL
thats what i was tryin to say beast, the bengals were the only team that was close.
the 49ers have won 5 SB's (T1), have produced the greatest QB, WR, S, and best left handed QB
-
Re: NFL
I'll give em the best QB and WR...but none of the rest...
-
Re: NFL
whos a better saftey than ronnie lott or a better left hander than steve young?
-
Re: NFL
Stabler and Tatum...Lott IMO was a better CB than he was a Safety.

With what they "lost" on offense has more than been made up for on defense. They don't need to score 40+ every game, although if they did I don't see why they couldn't.
I wasn't knocking your 9er's either. I was basically saying what you were. I was talking about them beating their division like a drum. Every once in a while someone would catch them on a kind of off week while the crap team would play the game of their life and they'd lose one. It's basically the same with Indy. They'll play a dogshit game, Vince Young will throw for 90 yards, their defense will play great, and they'll win on a 63 yard fg as time expires.
btw JR/Raider 13, the 9'ers are still a team and they've won like 5 playoff games since the Cowboys last won one.
-
Re: NFL
hahahahahaha stabler better than steve young
im a bama fan, its well known, but the snake wasnt in steves league
i thought you were saying the conference as a whole.
but the difference is we never lost to the rams or cardinals heh
i didnt know raider was a boys fan hahahahahahhaahhahahaha
americas team?????
ill take any of the 9ers SB winners over any of the boys teams.

Why didn't you mention the Seachickens? The 9'ers didn't play in what was considered the best division in the NFL then either. The Colts do.
-
Re: NFL
I don't see the infatuation with Steve Young...I never thought he was that good...just the beneficiary of a system.
-
Re: NFL
honestly, i could not remember ever losing to the hawks before 98 or so, but i wasnt sure.

Re: NFL
In the early 80s Seattle was as good as anyone.
-
Re: NFL
All you have to do is go to the 43 second mark of that video and then watch who every other big ball is thrown to to really see where Young's legacy lies...in JERRY RICE. Hell, Rice even made Elvis Grbak and Bono look good.
-
Re: NFL
bite your tongue
elvis gerbac was horrible, so was steve bono.
the run without the helmet, throw to TO to beat GB in the playoffs, etc...
