I have to come here to post this because I cant get to any other boards...That Midi file is locking the page up for me...and screwin with my puter....GRR..

So Gary.....You can remove it...Just cause its fucking with peoples puter..Or I can ask admin too....Nothing against You but since I have been to HB for years without a problem with the pages locking up....I'm assuming its that music You put there....

I'd be interested to know if anyone else is having problems with it.....Im assuming I cant play music when I come to HB now or what..
And I can get to this board because I have the link saved on my puter..

There are some boards i can't get to using netscape..i have to use IE to access them
Yesterday CG tried to put the fancy scroll bar on my board..but when she did, i couldn't access it except by going to IE again
I can't get to Rev's, Chloe and Blazey's for the same reason.
I can't access where there is a midi file either
Maybe all the fancy stuff isn't worth it??

the midi file Lily is where the boards are listed...where you can see who last posted ..etc..is what is locking up for me..Im getting to other boards now by mels link thread here.....Im assuming Gary hasnt read this yet.Im also assuming he'll remove it when he does..

Empire's board has a song on it, and it never stopped you from posting there...

And Heidi, since we have been at ends, I wouldn't change it for just you. However, since you are the 4th person to CLAIM my music is killing your pc. I have changed it. The whole point of putting the song up was to get more people to post on my board. If people don't even get a chance to hear it, there's no point of it.

See, no one had trouble with the midi, it's when I changed it to a windows steaming audio file, problems started happening. (I think) I haven't been online since I changed it, so I didn't know of these problems. I think it's from people not updating the Windows Media Player.

I refuse to be pushed around though. I'd rather just put up a board somewhere else. So, this is my compromise. The song will no longer auto-start. If someone wants to hear it, they will have to push "play" on the media bar below my site's name. This way, I can still try to pull in posts, and you can access the AW main page without it crashing... Agreed?

But, even if I was, with all the shit I have to put up with as a musician, all the turn downs, time and effort, years of practicing, playing out, and my very soul and well-being as a person riding on the fact I want people to hear and like my music, you better fucking believe I would use any means possible to get fans. The only regrets I'll even have is from what I didn't do, not what I did...

Whatever, since I do like many of you on hostboard. I did the right thing, and stopped it from fucking with SOME people's pc's. You'll have to trust me when I say, anywhere else, I would be stubborn about it. My music ranks above my own health. I don't often let people I barely know tell me what to do with it.

Point was that the music was fucking up the page..last I heard you didnt own hostboard....Put it on your board where people have the choice to listen..What makes you think everyone wants to listen to your band..

Secondly, if ya don't wanna hear his song, simply click the "STOP" button, that's why it's there!
If someone else in the AW community posted a streaming audio file on the main page list of boards, and I didn't personally like it, I would just simply click the "STOP" button, I WOULD NOT go around to all the boards crying and whining about it for days...geez, get a life people, don't you all have anything better to talk about...?
Finally, for those who whine and complain about it causing their cpu's to crash upon attempting to load the main page, you all sure seem to have NO PROBLEM getting here to post complaints about it consistantly....Also, if anyones cpu REALLY DOES crash when they try to load that page, then that person either has an O/S that needs some maintience, "ie [img]biggrin.gif[/img] efrag, history clear, scandisk" or maybe has 100 programs runnin in their taskbar doin absolutly nothing...or maybe their media player is simply corrupted..."ie:missing or out-of-date driver or plug-in" OR....they have a cpu that is sooooo old it must have been found on some sort of historical dig site.....
Or what most of us think the truth really is "HEIDI HAS HATED GARY FROM DAY 1, SO HAS CANADIAN GIRL"
And for the moment they have nothing else to complain about...I mean lets be realistic here, Heidi does have the phrase "BITCH, it's not just an insult, it's a way of life" right there in her signature, need more be said for her general attitude?

Also, it isn't gary's fault that you lost your work you spent 3 hours on.....if it was that important, why didn't you save your work before browsing the wonderful world of free internet message boards....which are filled with things like pop-ups and other garbage that can and will make your cpu crash....What were you thinking? Maybe something like......"HMMM, I just spent 3 hours or so working hard on my current sprinkler fire safety layout project, i need a break, i think i'll visit the message boards and browse the internet in general without saving all of my hard work before hand in case my cpu crashes for some reason, yeah, that sounds like a good, safe idea!"

Why does anyone who has ever visited my board think i haven't been paying any attention to it or making any more topics? Because, everyone here is two-faced, everyone lies, and everyone wastes the free bandwith we have provided to us to use for our boards to do nothing but whine and moan about a small little streaming audio clip...
Anyone here who's cpu really crashes from that clip is either extremely stupid and can't properly manage and maintain their own machine, or they just hate gary and are lieing about their cpu's crashing just because they are to lazy to click the stop button..
You wanna know what's annoying, is the people who post HUGE pictures of themselves or their stupid dogs, or large size moving graphics in their signatures! so everytime they post, i get to see their face so up close, i can count the pores on their face "for some of you here in AW who do this, not gonna name any names, but, if you are going to post a picture that big of your face, at least clean up your acne and blackheads...." Some of you have multiple moving graphics in your signatures, a select few i've seen have as many as 5! every post! talk about bandwith eaters and causing slow page loads, especially threads with many many replys from those i'm speaking of..

Midi's can not be played by everyone, and Midi's can not be turned off by everyone...
some browsers and or PCs even, can not see anything having to do with Midi's ...it will just shut them down...

When you put a Midi and or MP3 or a WAV file on YOUR OWN website... you take your own chances on who's capable of hearing it....

Besides that, Midi's ect is a Microsoft thang, you've got your Mac's and UniX and LinX is rising fast...

Nobody's going to change their OS just to hear Midi's..... even tho i play them here....
