Whew! Made it through class with a proper bell curve on grades - but I had some smart students who didn't do nearly as well as they should have. It may have been partially the teacher's fault (mine), but not totally. The class encompassed a lot and was difficult to take it all in. It was a broad overview class that was all over the place in the financial world. I won't accept THAT class again! (OK, so it's a couple days after National Whine Day, so I'll not say more.)

I've missed saying Merry Christmas here, but Happy New Year early!

For those of you familiar with IRC in general, and millenia.org in particular, the last millenia irc server will be removed from service late Dec. 31st. It's been fun, educational, and frustrating...in that order.

Ery--as far as I can tell, our group is about the only active members of that farscape board. i think we can do what we want. the rules at Spec Vision are the same as the old vine rules--no flaming, no spamming, etc. the webmaster will remove posts if they violate the rules--but in most cases that's been done only to cases of spamming, where someone tries to stick the same post all over the site, advertising something.

there is actually a farscape chat room there but i can't remember how to get to it.

by the way, this is THE site for news updates on the Lord of the Rings and for scifi news releases in general--they do a good job.

Iz, you've found a treasure, that's for sure. It'll be fun to 'splore a bit, but you take all da fun outta t'ings by sayin' we can't flame! I would like the opportunity to be a problem citizen to at least SOME site, having been a Den Mother for too TOO long at others! wink
