For all of the ppl downing Udonis Haslem in another post...You can eat those words........he played out of this world tonight. Alonzo mourning played some of the best defense i've seen in awhile. Shaq had an off night, but by just being on the floor, it opens up everything for the other players, esp D-wade. Walker had a good game also. But D-Wade put on another "Jordan" like performance. He'll have plenty of chances to win the title.

    Go Heat.

Dallas was the deeper team, but I do think Miami wanted it more. We kept hearing "bench scoring" after the first two games, but I think that is the most overrated thing in basketball.

Alonzo Mourning played like a beast. I assume this will probably be his last game so that he can go out a champion. I have always like Jason Williams play even though he plays Roger Dorn defense, he hit some clutch 3s in the series. Haslem played the best since probably grade school tonight also for the Heat.

Jason Terry really impressed me. I don't watch the NBA a ton, but I was hugely impressed by him in the series.

Did anyone notice a common theme between 4 out of 5 Heat starters?

    Pat Cummings $525,000
    Kevin Edwards $300,000
    Sylvester Gray $160,000
    Scott Hastings $220,000
    Grant Long $100,000
    Todd Mitchell $100,000
    Craig Neal $100,000
    Dave Popson $100,000
    Rony Seikaly $650,000
    John Shasky $125,000
    Rory Sparrow $275,000
    Jon Sundvold $250,000
    Anthony Taylor $100,000
    Billy Thompson $265,000
    Kelvin Upshaw $100,000
    Pearl Washington $335,000
    Clinton Wheeler $100,000

This is the way it all started. Who would have ever thought this franchise would be where it is. Just imagine Detroit drafting Carmelo and Darko getting passed on for Wade by the Nuggets. Finally, I actually have an nba team that won it all.

Jordan will always be the standard by which other players will be measured. The media is always quick to jump on "The next Jordan." A few years ago, it was Kobe.

The NBA has really passed me by. I don't care for it anymore, but I will say that I am glad Zo got a championship before he hung it up. I've liked him since his days with the Hoyas. So that makes me happy.
