He is trying to bring up that Clintwood has a transfer from Pound this season however for whatever reason he can not see the differance between a famley moveing into a differant school district and the situation in Norton

Maybe he should worry about Pound's horrendous athletic program instead of a topic on a message board.

Transfers happen. As we seen last year when one transferred from Pound to Kelly, of course the person complaining forgets that Pound got a transfer from Kelly themselves. In the not so distant past, Clintwood lost their only returning starter in basketball to a 'move' to Haysi, lost probably their best baseball player to Kelly, and I'm pretty sure there are others.

As long as the legal aspects are followed, that's fine and it's part of the world of sports.

Honistly I can not think of any in which A kid would move in with a guardian in another school district to make themself elegable (I had heard about it back in the late 90's in the Tide water area if I get a chance I will see if I can dig up anything on it)

Not this particular situation, just an illegal transfer that cost a few games. Don't think it was even caught till after the reg season, I think the school reported themself. Best I recall it was a KY kid that didn't meet VA's class requirments for the previous year.

Let's resolve this issue. If the supporters of a big team have deep pockets, let's allow the kids to attend school wherever they want. And if they ante up and provide us with a state championship, let's pay them. And buy their moms a new SUV. It's a friggin sport people! Let's get wrapped up in athletics and allow out kids to fail classes, dumb them down, declare special ed, alternative school, etc. I would like to see the citizenry as worked up about our sorry public education system as they are about sports.

Mention names, the most that can happen is getting banned.

I don't know, normally only people who get banned or those who make it a point of calling out a mod or something directly. Go pretty much any board and you'll have that happen.

I can only think of one person who's been banned recently....

no one really has been banned lately... i remember when someone was banned nearly everyday there for a while about a year or 2 ago.

One got banned here in the last few days by Counts. You know it has to be bad when Counts bans someone, he sits around singing campfire songs and keeps saying give peace a chance.
