Scores?

Kelly jumped out early w/ a pick 6 and a nice pass play on their next posession. Then Haysi came back with a couple of nice drives for score, then we sort of lost intensity and let Kelly back in it (I think we scored 21 unanswered). Kelly did have a 10 pt lead with 4-5 to go and Haysi scored then recovered a fumble ran a few plays to get in FG range then kicked the FG to send it to OT then intercepted a Kelly pass in the endzone and next play kicked the winning FG.

Real back and forth game Kelly was definately the more physical team but Haysi was more talented, not that Kellys wasnt talented just that their lack of a consistant passing game hurt them. Great ballgame

The only bad thing I can say about Kelly is our QB cramped up and some SOB kept yelling to get him off the field theres no need for that, really embarassing for kelly.

kelly doesn't lack a passing game, the coach just doesn't like throwing the ball. Whenever they did pass the ball they were very effective against haysi. They just didn't do it nearly enough. if they had passed they probably could have put up a couple of more scores. As for relaxing, the Indians were ready to blow the game open with a 16-0 lead, then a blown coverage let Haysi back in the game on that long pass with a missed tackle to boot. bottom line is that kelly should not have lost that game. Haysi's kicker is the best in SWVa bar none, and colley is one of the top coaches around.

JJK vs Haysi was a wild game! JJK had a 10 pt lead going into the final minutes, and I dont' think anyone thought Haysi would turn it around. Several folks left with 2+ minutes left in the game.

After Haysi scores, it's JJK 38 - Haysi 35 and Haysi tries the on-side kick. Initially, Sproles recovered the on-side kick that should have allowed JJK to control the rest of the game. A fumble by JJK, and Haysi is back in the game. Haysi kicks the field goal with 5 seconds on the clock. It's 38-38 going into OT.

JJK takes the first possession in OT. After Haysi stops a run attempt, JJK attempts a pass that is intercepted by Haysi. Colley elects to kick the field goal, and Haysi wins 41-38.

Congratulations to Clintwood.They are truly a great bunch of kids.

As for Pound.I don't think a lot of the kids are gonna play next year.And a few are working on transferring. The coach Is throwing fits In the locker room that would get the kids suspended ...had It been them destroying property.

As I was walking by the Pound locker room..there was a few players trashing the locker room...throwing chairs, punching walls, cursing..etc..etc..

So just can't blame the coach for throwing fits...I witnessed the players doing it first hand last night..

Sure there was a few kids doing It and they probably think It Is ok If the coach Is doing It..

Some of the other players was telling those few kids to stop doing It also.I just think breaking things and parts flying are a lil dangerous that some of It might hit some of the kids.

Prelim stats last night, without getting to rewatch on film and compare with other statkeeper, Pound had I believe around 40 yards of offense.

Since they are home team, paper numbers will be what they have.

A couple of pretty good players for Pound, and I'm gonna sound like Ironlung here, coach definitely has not gotten any better. I don't understand at all the shotgun snaps that take forever to get there. By the time the ball got to the QB, he was running for his life, no chance at all to really look for someone open.

I wasn't understanding all the shotgun snaps either....I don't really recall seeing the QB lineup under center...

The first play of the game, I literally thought the kid got killed. I felt sorry for him.
