Male Cheerleaders are different imo that they are needed for some of the stunts, etc. A female kicker can get a kicked blocked and get lit up, thats dumb. To me, women don't need to be in a positon where a man could injury them. I personally wouldn't hit a woman on a football field, I was raised to respect women and if I ever hit a woman I'm sure my old man would knock me from here to the moon. At the same time, women need to be women and men need to be men. I think many in this country have forgotten what that actually means.

I do agree that it seems a little extreme to see a female playing football - it's almost like something that you'd see only in a movie. But at the same time, I can only commend her for doing something my pansy ass didn't do: Dedicating herself to the team and getting out there and playing ball on Friday nights with the rest of the best!

When it's all said and done, I honestly think that she can look back on playing football as a big accomplishment and something that even many males don't do or don't have the chance to do. (Especially not on a team as special as this Clintwood team we have on our hands this year).

If you have on pads and are on the field, IMO you're fair game.

It's just stupid to put a female in that position. Like I said there is a reason that there are two sexes.

TW brought one up to play PVs nonstarters once....she carried the ball 1 time, and I don't think she ever came back on the field. We were out there watching the scrimmage and didn't even know it was a girl til they took her helmet off..

We had a girl play football in P-nut. She played Tackle on Offense and Noseguard on D, and she flattened most of the guys in front of her.

Girls mature faster than boys. Time they are 17-18 year old the boys have caught up and a football field is no place for a girl going against boys. To me, it's like the hold back issue in a lot of ways, if a boy beats up a girl he's in serious trouble on the football field it's ok to knock them out? A 19 year old can hurt a 15 year old on a football field but off the field it's an adult beating up a juvenile. Makes no sense to me, VHSL is for kids, when you turn 19 you shouldn't play and if your a male you play sports designed for males and if your female you play sports designed for females. People need to open their eyes. I'm all for equal rights but everything isn't equal, God created Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

My niece played peanut also a few years ago..she made some good hits and also received a few...But she didn't complain when she got hit..
