Turner was qb in 94. Clark played some corner and halfback that year. The "I" I can recall was two power backs , one lined up a step closer to the LOS than the fullback. In the time I watched Tom coach, there was very few I plays, most of them in the last year or two. I really don't see what the gripe is, when Appy had the kids to run it, Tom ran a spread or shotgun several times a game. The trick is , most people don't see enough of practice to have an idea of what can be run. The last state game, I heard people talking about what they would have done to stop that offense, Tom was possibly the best coach around and if Appy had the kids to run the 3-4 and the dime and the 10 other schemes named, he would have gone to it.The T gets you to the line quicker and you don't have to hold a block as long, it's balanced -you don't have a weak and strong side. Going away from getting across the LOS and hitting someone is what has disappointed me the most in PV and Appy the last couple of years.
