    Re: EXECUTION!!!!!!

But there are many many "Christians" celebrating an execution.
    You'll shoot your eye out.

And there lies the problem. Sorta like the "Cast the first stone" thing. I get way outta line myself. So, I try to keep from saying too much anymore.

i'm in no way saying Christians (or anyone) should start any wars

    Re: EXECUTION!!!!!!

I just do not understand the outcry for around 3000 dead. Hell, look at the toll that WW2 took. 300 000 dead. Korea, 35 000. Vietnam 50 000.

3000 is but a drop in the bucket. The battle must be won and lives will be lost. But those who must cry 'war monger' after every death do the war effort a great disservice.

War is hell. Soldiers die. But the war must be won no matter the cost.

Vietnam was 'lost' because of the high-touted 'public opinion'. If you're going in, then go in, kick [censored], take names, don't take [censored] from anyone.

Now there's one less [censored] in the world.

And there in lies the problem.
Our troops can't do that. In Iraq as in Vietnam.
How do you fight a war you are limited in how you can attack and you can't whip [censored] and take names.
And a Civil War among the people as in Vietnam and now in Iraq
    Esp. when your the outsiders.
I guess it's changing hearts and minds. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

Oh and we were only to be in Vietnam for two or three years at the start.
One was to whip a third world army, with an army we established in the South, and the other was to put our own officials into office, in a country we would help control.

    Re: EXECUTION!!!!!!

As far as christians celebrating the death of Sadaam, why do you pity Sadaam? I would say that for many years christians are one of the few who have probably prayed for Sadaam. The American Govt. did NOT hand down execution on Sadaam, his own Govt. did that. Also all of you who have pity on anyone celebrating Sadaam's death, would you feel this way if it were your family he tortured, had raped, beat and in most horrible way killed right in front of your eyes? He had young girls as young as 12 raped by many men and made the family watch. I think many murders who have not done as much as Sadaam deserved death of any kind. Sadaam, no I don't feel sorry for him at all, cause on earth he had plenty of nights to repent in and change, while his victims died more horrible than he did. Can you imagine all the nights the families of these victims sat up crying and grieving over their loved ones?
To the comment two wrongs don't make a right, that is true. But also, the law of the land permits this execution. What Sadaam did was not governed by the law, but by his own satisfaction. A cruel man died today.

I will not shed one tear over his death. How can any american feel pity for Sadaam after listening to him for so many months call our soldiers infadels and call death upon each one of them, that his GOD wanted all AMERICANS dead. You are an american, how did you feel when Sadaam and the Iraq's celebrated when some of our soldiers heads hung on a pole in their own streets in the early days of the war.

Im not picking at you, but you have argued that saying foul language is not christ like, then you say that you cannot forgive him for what he has said about Americans.

Anyone wanna take bets on which news channel shows Saddams execution? I think its gonna be on a 24 loop on FOX News

    Re: EXECUTION!!!!!!

No I did not say I don't forgive him. I am not a family member of one he killed. Had he done that, and he asked for my forgiveness then yes by the law of Christ I have to forgive to be forgiven. But I have done no wrong by saying that according to Sadaams own Govt.s law he was to be put to death for his crimes. What point are you trying to make? Forgive Sadaam, what have I to forgive him for?
