if you let those who want to carry, carry at a big campus such as VT with a lot of diverse people here, there would be incidents like this every week/month

I see where Bob is coming from, if the shooeter new that there was a likely chance that several students were carrying concealed then he might have thought better of going in and starting this. Also could have been stopped by a concealed carrier before he got to far.

No, there wouldn't. Check up on getting your CHP.

Gun free schools are a shooter's dream. No resistance whatsoever.

He could have also been stopped by the police had they actually gone in and done something while students videod them standing outside while shots were being fired.

As I said above, the police aren't there to stop it, they are there to clean up afterward.

The police won't go inside, but a concealed carrier allready inside would be by far more effective.

NSSB, not turning this into a debate on guns.

And yes Bob, know about VA CHP.

Having more guns in a situation might be good, might not, or it could escalate a messy sitution into 2-3 fold.

Hey you know what would help fix drunk drivers. Lets put more drunk drivers out there, maybe they could take out each other. Sure you might have some innocents caught up in it, but ahhhhh maybe not.

What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Re: Gunman on Virginia Tech Campus

After 50 people shot they didn't go inside. Why bother even being there if they plan on doing nothing. If they're going to sit and listen to students being picked off one by one why even show up at all.

At some point they should be proactive in stopping the carnage. Why wait until he's done to do anything? I thought it was "to protect and serve."

That's why they have a SWAT team. They've used SWAT over and over again in less dire situations. I've witnessed it more than once myself.

yes...there would...ive seen numerous arguments on the basketball court that were handled with fist fights, however if they had guns handy it couldve gone horribly wrong

ive also seen knock down drag-outs in halls of dorms where had there been guns it couldve also been a very bad situation

Would the people involved qualify for a VA CHP?
