I think this is the first ever episode that was shown after they get off the island so the casket could not have been shown before

Kate also said, "He's gonna be wondering where I am" was she talking about Sawyer? At first i thought maybe the casket was Sawyers because no one came but Jack and he said that he was neither friend or family. But now Im so freaking "Lost".

I think Locke is there to take Ben's place.
But when Jack is talking to Kate in his flash forward, or whatever it is, he shows her the news paper clipping of the person that died and says "I thought you would have come to the funeral" and she asked him why he thought that... so apparently it is someone they both know. I'm not sure but it was a strange episode, haha.
