Wish I knew, I have been trying to figure that one out for a while. I haven't found a transfer with the property changing hands so it must just be someone developing it to sell, possibly the Wal-Mart Realty Company. I would like to know as well if anyone finds out anything.

I'll just add that to the Pals, TGIFridays, Ruby Tuesdays and Outbacks that we were getting too, according to the county's speculating gossipers. (e.g. I had people get angry with me when I told them that the Alltel building was not going to be a Ruby Tuesdays - they were sure it was a Ruby Tuesdays because somebody's uncle's aunt's first cousin's dogs sister's mama told them so.)

If it is the one I think Ainge is talking about straight across from Goody's that they are developing it is big enough. It is actually a bigger lot than the one that is in JC right now. It is the 2nd biggest lot in the Norton Commons. Maybe we aren't talking about the same lot but it is 2+ acres.

Found out from a very reliable source that if the financing goes thru it is going to be Chinese/Asian Restaurant/Buffet type deal. It is the same guy who owns the China Cafe in Norton that is being torn down with the Jefferson Motel.

I thought that award goes to Appalachia.
