Price is for the Pair of Pioneer PAT-30X Speakers. Folks these are the rarest speakers in my collection and I am letting someone else enjoy these gems. Pioneer PAT-30X Triaxial 3-Way Speakers from late 1950's that are 100% Original and all 3 drivers working perfect plus woofer has no rubs. Date Codes are Speaker #1 (Z LD8) and Speaker #2 (Z LDV). Rated at 30 Watts Continuous and 50 Watts Max these are the 16 Ohm version which is earlier than the 8 ohm version and much more desirable. These have been in my personal collection for over 35 years and one of my prize possessions. I have always babied these speakers and when used I would hook them up to either my Quad Model II's or McIntosh MC225. Always protected in homemade cabinets from 1960 I was the 1st to remove these from there speaker cabinets. These are considered the little Brother to the Jensen G610. These are 12" but look at the similarities. As far as condition there are some small chips in paint here and there. Light brown foam outer gasket I would replace. As shown in picture #11 surround edge looks excellent but at 1 spot there is a slight fold from age, I see that regularly on vintage Altec and Electro-Voice. It does not effect sound and so slight picture does not show, just worth mentioning. Slight color difference in cones. On 1 crossover most lettering missing as seen in pictures. Midrange and Tweeter level controls work but I would give them a spray of Deoxit. These speakers are extremely musical plus super efficient with an efficiency of 102dB/1 Watt/1 Meter so these would be an excellent choice for Single Ended Tube Amplifiers like 300B Amps. These speakers have very tight bass, smooth as silk midrange, plus tweeters that really sizzle. Folks these speakers will give you goosebumps with the proper source. Frequency Response is fo-20,000Hz and fo is the minimum resonant frequency which is 23Hz-32Hz. I am continuing to sell my entire collection which is extensive and includes Altec, Electro-Voice, and JBL Speakers plus numerous Tube Type Amplifiers, Preamps, and Tuners.
