I am new member. The only reason I joined is that I REALLY wanted to tell everyone that I disagree with those of you who buy so many dolls and duplicates of some dolls.
Is there anyone who agrees with me?
I really hope that a lot of people decide to not buy so many dolls, there are many little girls who would love them!

Welcome to the board! I think if a mother has say Kit, and her daughter wants Kit for her Birthday, there would be nothing wrong with that.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">heh its not like the company has a shortage of dolls... or they can't afford to make millions of dolls each year (or how ever many they do make). So yeah I don't really care what other people do with their money.

I think it is because some people love the idea of having twins. I personally have twin nephews and they are wonderful!

Since AG doesn't make twin AGs, I imagine people who want twins just create their own. It is just one of the things that makes the AG of Today dolls so great. I don't have twin AGs, but I like choosing names for my Today dolls and I love the Bitty Twins.

I guess each one of us is different. It just makes the world more interesting and it makes this board more fun. This really is a great group of people. I hope you enjoy yourself!

Welcome. I am sure that if you stay long we will change your mind about mulitples

I have no problem getting my daughter two of the same doll if that is what she wants. Life is just to short to deny her the few things she asks for. (This is being said on the heals of three accidents near my home in one month in which a total of 9 people have been killed including two children age 3 (different accidents and a 10, 16 and 16 year old and their mother)

That said we also do a lot of Gifted Dolls here to make sure that girls who can't afford them, get them in another way.

Look up gifted Dolls and I am sure you will see some of the old threads

Hi - Welcome to the board. We have two identical dolls - they are the PC Our new baby dolls and they ended up being what our twins, Bitsy short for Elizabeth and Bitty short for Rebecca. We bought Bitsy to relpace Bitty who had arrived with damage but after Bitsy's arrival we could not part with either one so we just made more room. I think it is what makes you happy.
