When I was shooting, I was using my super 8 Beaulieu 5008 with crystal sync. But that was months ago. I've been concentrating on writing scripts for a while and probably won't actually shoot anything on film for at least a year. I may do little improv video things on mini DV here and there, though.

Your tools are meaningless - your ideas are what count (as evidently demonstrated by the s h i t t y blockbustes this summer - never before have I wasted so much ticket money on so many horrible films)

    Woah Mach-I mean Jungle Guy...

Shouldn't you be leaving the country or something? Was your mother always like this? You seem like such a rounded and helpful individual.

And thanks for helping me out when I was buyin a mac a while back. It's great.

Yes she's always been a bit odd. But as children we considered her behavior to be normal. Her general behaviour has deteraited rapidly over the past 5 years. Since she started thinking her phone was bugged.

My mother is obssessed with conspiracy theories. Its all a bit like the film A Beautiful Mind.

When its over I'm gonna have a go at writing a book about.

I just love using Beaulieu and Nizo utilising the new negative super8 stocks. However have just invested in a Beaulieu R16. I will probably end up combining the 16 and 8 footage during my post when I make my Short film starting soon!

You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family.

    Couple of different set ups...

    MY system:
    P800 / 192 MB Ram / Premiere 6.5 / 80G HD
Matrox Rainbow Runner Card - (only works on 98!)
and whatever cam I can get use of. (was my dads 8MM Camcorder at one point)

System I'm using from now on (I hope!):

    Canon XL1,
PC with Adobe Premiere / FCP4 I think (again, not mine)...
    Firewire card...

It looks like I'm the only one who uses Ulead's MediaStudio Pro for editing!

    Editing/FX/Compositing: MediaStudio Pro
CGI/FX/Mattes: MediaStudio Pro and Animation Master
    Audio/Soundtrack: Sound Forge 6.0 and ACID 4.0
    DVD Authoring: Ulead's DVD Workshop

    As for cameras, I'm Sony's b1tch... I have a Hi8, a Digital8, and a VX-2000 with a broken tape transport. Still shopping for a real camera.
