was it just me or were dillinger escape plan w@nk? they had the opportunity to shine but failed! they had one good song...well, started out good but went the same way as the rest. agrees/disagrees?
or just soad were ace...espec when u sit thro that **** then get in the pit! classic

Well I didn't go to the System of a Down gig but I went on thursday to see Dillinger Escape Plan headline their own show and they were ace. Admittedly the singer was a **** but they were really tight and put on a great live show...loads of energy!

ok...alot of energy and good comedy performance...but the music? not as a singular effort (as one guitarist was class) but together, i reckon they were a lil poor

taste goes as taste comes...still got boo'd after nearly every song...dint impress many...ppl i spoke to all sed they were shite but thats them too

That's probably because they shouldn't have been playing with S.O.A.D..at their own show they were taking the **** out of the fact they were playing with them...They are completely different and there also would have been a million and 1 little kiddies at the S.O.A.D show who perhaps wouldn't like the fact that there is no catchy tune or that they aren't in Kerrang every week. That is not a dig at S.O.A.D fans....you all know that there would have been a lot of kids there like that.

there definitely were loads of little kiddies at the gig, but there were still some hardcore fans, and there were a few places in the pit that looked like they had a good atmosphere. although in my opinion D.E.P were a bit wank, it would've been nice if the crowd didn't make such a fuss about it.
the crowd were booing D.E.P at times, which wasn't very nice. nevertheless, they put on a great stage show. with a lot of moving about.

SOAD's fan base at the gig was obvious when they broke into Chop Suey, and a lot of the crowd reacted as though it was the only song they knew, which in many cases was probably true!

it'd have been nice, if these people had ordered seating tickets rather than standing, so the people who wanted to be in the pit could've been. after about an hour of trying every entrance, plus very strong words to various officials, and talks of bribary among the less so official, me and my mate managed to SWAP our seated tickets for some standing ones with some partied out folk on the outer ring.
it was amazing. although you can't help feel SOAD's frustration with the crowd who maybe didn't react as well as they would've liked to on the last date of their tour.
anyway, good to see so many GY folk yet again.

d.e.p were ace, me and laura had seating tickets so we had a good view and sound of them. kids were booing them but still they played on, i realy want to go see them in a smaller venue without mindless ppl who have no respect of anything apart from chop suey. [img]mad.gif[/img] the sound guy could of done better as well, it was too quite and no bass.
