You dont have to play gigs in Grimsby still..playing out of town can be just as good for practice, and places are always on the lookout for gigs, playing to people who know you isnt that much of a challenge..cos you always have your mates to fall back on...its easy even to play when a couple of your mates are there..its a security blanket, but if you dont feel you are "ready enough" after a year then you never will be,Ive seen it before. If you are ready to play more than one gig in your hometown, then you are ready to play one in someone elses...after all a gig with local bands from another town is just the same as one here, but with a different crowd.
and ps...parental lock? How fucking old are you?

anther reson why we havn't gone down to london yet apart from needin to be a bit tighter, is that we all hav veroius commitments to collages and sixforms. As u say its nice to hav a safety net, just in case we dont make it.

after finally buying loveless by my bloody valentine and listelning to the whole album on repeat all last night, things from me musically are gonna get veerrryyy different!!
I forgot how this applies to the topic. But the only way for a band to prove itself is to play live (or a CD of course) so there is hardly any point for you all to throw your weight around a message board.

Jeez. What are you all on about?
At the end of the day we're all standing on a raised piece of floor hitting bits of wood and metal...
DIAGNOSIS: BORING!
