Hass answered very nicely. I don't think Para did it for him, but rather to prove to Randy that talking down about reknown musicians isn't cool.

I thought it took balls, and i enjoyed watching it to be honest.

First, I did not remove any link or lock a thread. 2nd, I never talked down or made any threats about the guy, all I said was he had nothing on another drummer, but then again, you guys mostly only post about Hass and not much else and now your kicking and screaming for the guy too both here AND on his own forum.

And here's another tidbit I noticed today, instead of listing Mr Hass' name in the thread, you gave it an interesting subject title, all knowing it was about Hass to maybe fool others that it might be about something new and different.

I started this thread, and it's has nothing to do with Steve Hass.
It deals with why the moderators are controlling.

You're correct about my communism comment, I assumed you would understand me as many evil things in and of themselves are good, only to made evil by people and how they use and interperted. Religion for example. So I was refering to the usage of communism by communist countries.

Ummm, the drummer on Arrowhead is Bill Berg, Hass is doing some of the live gigs. So? what's wrong with that. That's how I found Wayne Johnson in the first place. Through Hass' site.

Everyone take it easy. I don't remember RW ever saying SH wasn't a player, just that he didn't get all the fuss created by all the multiple redundant threads that could've been condensed into 2 or 3.[?]

Jazz has meanings, & idioms to ponder as well. We can debate these viable points intelligently now, instead of...well y'all know...And educate others AWA perhaps ourselves in the process...then again, the point's def already been made, so maybe 'nuff said there... [img]cool.gif[/img]

I thought I would reply to Flar since the other thread is gone. Being a drummer who happens to play metal, I was invited to perform with the VA Tech Jazz Orchestra for an alumni drummer jazz night last week. It was a great show.
Since I was speculating about Vinnies gigs, I may have been wrong, but it was an angle worth looking at.(that I blew out my bum without thinking, sounded interesting at the time)
Assuming that I have no jazz CD's is wrong. I make my living playing and teaching drums. I consider all forms of music art, and when playing them, I try to be a true to the art as much as possible, while still retaining my own voice.
Anyway, I still think Vinnie is a great jazz drummer if he wants to be.
That last thread was jazz snobbery of the highest level.
