I guess this is kindda self-indulgent but I'll post it to get some sort of opinions on it:

Possesion
----------------

Incriminating lies, through shrouded secrets,
Waiting for the moment to reveal the truth, yet snatched away
Held in a bitter moment from now until eternity
The moment has passed but feelings remain,
Stronger than the body possesing them,
Tearing through the soul until containment is longer true.
Pressure cooked to an infinite condensment,
More powerful than what I posess, The love I posess...
Relying on a dream to rekindle a long-lost flame,
No-one will ever hold myself closer. No-one will ever care so much.
The burning wick a memory so close to dying, nurtured to life once more,
In that dream-like illusion, The dream-like state.
The soul burning in the night, The bright flame guiding a true path home,
A shrine to rest on my head, in the soft, calm ocean.
Possesion is illusion and illusion itself.
The hard, long road, The struggle of true containment

This poem has very strong emotions, when you said this poem was self indulgent I was thinking your poem would be about material posessions. However, this was misleading for me...for I got a total different message.
It seems as if this person is holding something back, a secret from the one he love...for you start out with that...
then as a result of this held secret it seems the person has lost his love...
or has he lost himself?

I need to read this poem over again. Very powerful and strong words are used. *claps* I like it! It makes one think and revaluate what they own and how much one cares for the finer things in life.

gonna have to read over this one again...

I kind of got lost in your word choices for the piece....
also, it seemed that there was no breaks in your work...I , the reader, never took any breaks in reading it....it was non stop....and that got to me....you might try and use -- (<---- those fuckers) or colons or different spacing to emphasize a certain part or a stronger point....
I don't know...just an idea...

but I will come back...
and yes, keep posting....
