It's the ideas of love,
And the music in the background,
The fights for leadership,
And those that leave consequently,
That turns the world into us.
Myself, and you.
You and myself,
Teasing and turning,
And touching again with consequences long forgotten,
Hiding under the bed,
Waiting to grab your ankles,
My ankles, our ankles,
As we step into a world of non-dreams,
Our hopes fading,
As we accept reality,
Turning in the life of nothing,
Something coming back from the work,
The work that I've put into you,
The tears you've cried into me.
It's here with the love that we speak,
Here in the tongues that touch,
The hands that caress,
The flesh that tingles and cowers back,
The muscles that tense,
And the heart that beats,
We're left with holes in our life,
Filled with our invention.
You and I,
I and you.
Fill me up,
Drink from my ideas,
As I drink from your tears,
And our reality fades,
And our exhistance begins again.

ohh the last four lines are beautiful.....

the flow of this poem enraptured me. The imagery was beautiful, the thought of two people feeding and living off eachother. Perhaps it is becuase i'm a sap and enjoy most things to do with love. But i still stand firm on my thoughts =O)
