Soft concrete sunset,
falling in comfortable strands around her face,
framing it perfectly for but an instant,
as a hard reality creeps in the shadows,
waiting to slam headlong into her.
soft concrete sunset,
shinning down,
feeling the sweltering heat of her stare upon me,
her eyes burning into me,
from what seems to be an eternity away,

soft concrete sunset,
begging truth through elation,
excited by the prospect of needing her,
hoping to someday become her truth.
before her sun completely sets.
