It may be the starkest reality of this country's arrogance I have ever witnessed. Congress has approved the change of the name of French Toast and French Fries to Freedom Toast and Freedom Fries for their own cafeteria.
In this country, boycotting is never an option. This country believes that boycotting is a weakness reserved for those who don't believe in "Freedom".
Our country believes in the Freedom to consume whatever we want, in as large a quantity as we want.
Supersize!

i heard about this a week or so ago.
i thought it was incredibly petty.
and the french response: french fries actually originated from belgium.
the fact that the french deigned to respond, petty.
