After watching "30 Minute Meals" I tried an easy simple cobbler recipe. Those who love to do their bisquits in the T-baker, this will be right up your alley!!
I used one can of buttermilk Bisquits--don't have a t-baker!!
1 can of fruit pie filling, I used peach.
Whip cream.
I heated my peach filling on the broiler while the steaks were grilling. Grinded some fresh nutmeg and a several dashes of cinnamon to the peaches. While baking the bisquits in the oven.
When the bisquits were done individually plated them topped with peach pie filling, whip cream and a dash of cinnamon.
Hubby loved it. I loved it's ease, simplicity and it tasted great.
I'm not a baking person, but anyone can do this one.
Enjoy!!

Berlyn,
You mean you spooned the peach filling from the can onto the broiler, next to the steak?
'I heated my peach filling on the broiler while the steaks were grilling.'
didn't the mixture carmalize or something?...v

Sorry lowracer, yes I set the pot of fruit filling on the aluminum griddle. You can always fire up a burner, but mine where all in use at the time.

I normally won't eat any fruit with fur on it, but put peaches in a cobbler along with a few sticks of butter and sugar and I'll eat 'em.

I think she meant she put the peaches on the griddle, not the broiler.

Berlyn and all,
Here's something I make for pancakes and its really quick too. In a saucepan mix together 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water bring to a boil and melt sugar (this is called simple syrup) I add 2 cups frozen blueberries (wild blueberries or regular) bring to a slow boil. Then I wisk in a mixture of 1 tblspoon cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cold water to thicken. This is great over waffles and french toast too.

Mmmmm dewberries!
Oh my gosh! It's almost time for the Dewberry Festival/Chili cookoff in Cameron. I think that I might enter with my chile verde this year. Even if I don't win... it's a wekend of lots of fun, family and perhaps a few beers
