    It seems that Ekans is NOT a boa constrictor. [I didn't learn this until this week.] It seems that he's a "Ball Python". He's still of the "constrictor" family, but won't grow to the size of other constrictors, and has a friendlier nature.

    I spent some time with him today, both on the couch and in the TV room. He REALLY tickled me in the TV room, as he went exploring a shelf on the TV unit that had VCR tapes lining the shelf and the whole thing fell over under his weight throwing him off onto the carpet [top-side up]. Heh.

    Since #1 told me that he was a "Ball Python", I've done a few searches, and "Yep...that looks just like him."

    I got a Christmas card with a letter today from my cousin [well, his wife wrote the letter.] She runs a Herpetology Simplified thang somewhere and is now raising her own rats to feed the snakes, selling the excess to the pet store. I think they're in NM.

    There's a thought there, I'm SURE.

    Maybe it's genetic.

    Red face

    I can't, DA. I'm a "bug-eyed", leftist, on the list of the FBI. SO and I MAY go to a theatre today [nice dark place where no one will notice my disguise], but other than that, my contact with the outside world is through couriers who bring me instructions and the few internet fora I visit.

    True enough, it's a lonely world during this phase of my life, but SOMEONE has to stand up and counter the right-wing atrocities, as well as put reptiles in their proper place in the animal kingdom. Best it be ME, in the downhill slide of my life than one of my children, for whom I HOPE I've established a better world, both for them AND the snakes of America.

    Anita, you *should* get out more. Those FBI agents will get *fat* if you don't move around and let them get some exercise. (;

    Dontcha just LOVE that phrase, Pammy? Only Lucky's generation could have coined a phrase that says so little yet so much at the same time, leaving the details to the imagination of the listener.
