Ryan's a an all you can eat, smorgasbord, family style restaurant that claims to be a steak house...but coming from a family that owns a steak house, I wouldn't suggest eating a steak there [img]graemlins/gulp.gif[/img] . However they have wonderful fried chicken, meatloaf, roast, fish with a variety of veggies, salads, breads and desserts.

Ooh, that sounds great! Americans sure know how to make a yummy meal. I mean, you invented the BLT! That's something to be fiercely proud of. Forget Washington or Franklin or whoever. The BLT should be on your largest denomination!

Okay, got a little carried away there. Bacon's like my second true love.

So, how much does an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord set you back, if I may be so rude as to ask?

*Whispers to Lefty* Here is the trick, They serve a breakfast buffet until 10:30, so if you show up before 10:30 they charge you the breakfast price ($8.05). So you go in have some eggs, susage, Hashbrowns, <u>Bacon</u>, all types of pancakes or waffles, fresh fruit...etc.
at 10:45 they start charging for the Lunch menu ($11.94), and they start putting steaks on the grill, and fill the hot bars with goodies like Sis mentioned above.

It is a Sunday ritual for us to go to Ryans, Have a good lesiure meal, then go across the street and walk the aisles of the Super Wal-Mart store for about an hour (whether we need anything or not) before we head back home, we stop at the Quick-mart by the interstate and grab a grape slushie for the ride home.

DAMN, I am suddenly hungry [img]wink.gif[/img]

BTW Henk, I make the world's best BLT...even my hubby who had owned his own sandwich shop (before I met him) says my BLT's are the bomb!!!

Mike makes a mean BLT too. His sandwiches are always good. Rae, I prefer your tuna sandwiches and all that great crap you stick in there. So good. I remember scrabble, soda, marlboros and either nuked potatoes or tuna fish sammies [img]smile.gif[/img]

God, I'm hungry now. And I still have to do my work-out before lunch. Oh, how I miss bacon. I kicked the bacon-habit (not as good here anyway) a year sgo. But I miss it more than cigarettes. That's gotta tell you something.

Anyway... You get in at the breakfast rate and you still get to have the sausages and lunch meats? How prefectly Dutch of you. I like it, and I'll remember it if I ever encounter a Ryan's.
