We go threw this same thing year after year since we were moved to div-2.After this year maybe Haysi,Clintwood will now have their chance to get in the playoffs and lets say they did this year PV would beat them bad because who have the played other than the cove and honaker that are both in the playoffs.

Haysi would be more deserving of RC to get into the play-offs ONLY if they had won the BDD AND had a better record than RC. RC did what they had to do to get there, so deal with it. Haysi should have taken care of business and won the BDD.

Three other teams in the CD that could give Haysi all they wanted? Like who? Haysi already plays Ervinton, Castlewood, and Rye Cove. They also used to play Twin Springs. Haysi scheduling Cumberland teams is one of the reasons they won't get a wild card spot. That was why Honaker didn't get a wild card spot last year, if Honaker hadn't dropped Grayson County and Rural Retreat and picked up St. Paul and Twin Springs in their stead, we woulda made the playoffs over Powell Valley last year. The points system rewards teams for strenght of schedule, so lets see, most of Haysi and Honaker's non-districts schedules last year and this year were Cumberland teams, and neither team fared well in the Region D, Div. 2 rankings. All those "strong" Cumberland schools we play sure do help our power ranking all right.
On another interesting note, Honaker and Haysi are 15-0 against Cumberland foes the past 2 years, beating them by a combined score of 615-128. Thats giving us all we want all right!! Why is Honaker dropping Rye Cove, St. Paul, and Castlewood(well they dropped US) and picking up Richlands, VA High, and Abingdon? Could it be that the Cumberland has gotten so tough we have to resort to scheduling two Div. 4 schools and a Div. 3 school? No, its so we will no longer go 8-2 and be 3rd freakin seed in the playoffs. Why didn't the strength of the Cumberland give us the rider points to propell us to that Number #1 seed in the playoffs?

So next year should not be a problem for either of you.Both of you should make the playoffs without waiting until game -10 to see if you get in. Good luck against Gate-City.How many games a team wins means nothing unless they play someone.Are you saying we did not deserve to be in after we played with you this year?Bottom line we have been a thorn in the side of three schools in two years. One you, Haysi and Clintwood all these teams wer good enough in my opinion but to say rc stole a playff spot is not right and you know that,That is not fair to these seniors.
I don't think it was right for RC to be put in D2 anyway. RC could probably have been playing for a Regional title this year and last year, but the VH$L kinda put a side track on all that. Well good luck against PV this year. RC has a good team, Berry is a heck of a player, and hopefully he can help get it done against PV.
Thanks we still got our eyes set on a regional.May not happen but who knows we might be playing you again.Burton put up 30 points on gc great d friday and actually lead some of the game with only around 200 students now that tells me crazy things do happen from time to time.Who would thought tenn would lose two qb in the same year.Personally i thik all these teams should be in and keep playing until you get down to two.
