Russell: when is this front office going to get a clue that this guy just can't cut it. He has never shown that he can consisently put the bat on the ball, yet all we hear from management is that we need to give him the opportunity. Didn't he have th opportunity to light up the minors and cut down on his strikeouts. This guy is on pace for about 275 strikeouts and Charlie wonders why he is hearing it from fans

Anderson: The guy is way overdone, could thing we got rid of Garcia to give this retread a chance, nice one Shapiro!

I think Branyan will hit at least 30 homers this year IF the front of the line-up performs the way the front of the line-up should.

Branyan is at his best when he is not noticed or feared.
With the front of the line-up not doing anything, I think it affects his peformance.

And that stupid ejection after he had homered in three straight games really hurt him.
