My 2cents. Since we are on an Altec forum I would look to artists that have superior engineering in their recordings

There are so many to chose from but when I'm looking for an album to work out my system I tend to lean towards a few

Steely Dan - I just love anything they do and it all sounds fantastic. Donald Fagen's Nightfly a winner too.
The Police - all very well engineered and all sounds great.. Sting falls under this heading too.
Alan Parson's project - again anything AP is bound to sound great. *Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here, Dark Side of the Moon *
Joe Jackson - good sounding stuff!
Brian Setzer - good sounding stuff!
Basia - great vocals
The Fleetwoods - if you want to check out the mids/vocals on your system

These are just some of my choices for good sounding music.
If we are picking an artist just because you like him, I'd have to choose Ozzy Osbourne. The guy is a living legend. He should be dead! with all the stuff he poured/pumped/smoked/snorted through his body and he still makes my kind of music.

My friend and fellow aeromodeler, Vance Gilbert. He's just a hard workin' singer/songwriter still livin' the dream. He pays the bills playing small venues from Maine to Florida and as far west as Texas. Night after night he gets up on stage and lets it all hang out. Plenty of guts, very little glory. The world is a better place because he's in it.

Problem. The posted videos appear as a black screen, with no control 'buttons', on my computer. I can't play them. Could this be a copyright block to DVD Region 4?

I can play the usual Youtube posts that include the controls.

Fixed. Because of several Trojan Horse attacks I deleted Adobe programs in the course of clearing the problem and promptly forgot to replace them. I have just now installed fresh copies of Java and Flash and checked Active X settings and all is well.

I enjoyed My Bad by Vance. Does he do one called Senior Moments?

Yeah you really have to watch what you click on today.The newest ones are called drive bye's,where you don't even have to download anything they download their virus's for you..

Altec Best thanks for the tip on you tube. Does any one remember Annie Lennox song she is wearing side mirrors dressed in vynil black tight outfit.Early 90's. Can't find it anny where. Can't remember the name of the song.
