Wow Cherie that clip of President Bush sure changed my opinion of him...NOT!! Moral does not mean perfect. Only God is perfect, and anyone who tells you otherwise is not to be trusted. I would bet that almost everyone on this messageboard has given the finger to someone at least once in their lifetime, but that doesn't make them any less moral. It does however make them human. Let's move on and find common ground as Americans to make our country better for all.

I am so sick of seeing all this **** that the wonderful Michael Moore started with his non-documentary Farenheit 911! Let's see what the facts are: Bush has NOT reinstated the draft. Why would he? There are only small pockets of insurgents in Iraq totalling around 3,000. I think we have more then enough soldiers there to take care of them just as we have been doing for the past 2 days. I have friends who are in Iraq for the past year, and they will tell anyone willing to listen to the truth (and not the lies that Moore and Kerry have been pushing) that the Iraqi people are happy we did what we did and are continuing to do in their country! Small businesses are springing up everywhere in Iraq, which is something they never had before. President Bush handed the Democrats an olive branch in his post victory speech to unite this country and move ahead, but all I'm seeing is whining and threats by sore loosers. This will only make things worse for everyone...is that so hard to understand??? Get over it and move on!!! People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!!!! We are ALL Americans...let's start acting like it!!!

I give the finger at least once a day on my way to work. And as a perfect GOD, Well, I for one really just wonder what kind of GOD we have to have all this pain in this world that only gets worse and worse. I really just wonder who really is in the drivers seat in Heaven? So, I guess I'm NOT to be trusted then am I? Hahaha...

When I was a little kid my family went to my Grandpa's company picnic. My Grandpa was a giant among men, especially in my little eyes! I found myself sitting there listening to this group of working men arguing up a storm, about what? I didn't know, but I was spellbound as they all expressed themselves angrily. Some more than others.
I felt a real sense of pride when it was my Grandpa's turn to speak!
He pointed at several of them saying "well since you men didn't bother to vote you have no right to complain."
That seemed to leave them sort of speechless as I recall!

I always remembered those words while I was growing up and couldn't wait to register when I turned 18 and I have bothered to vote ever since because I wanted to ensure my right to complain!

Ya know CCFan - I'm glad you started this thread -I do enjoy listening and talking about our different opinions. That's what makes our country great. We do have the right to our different opinions and we can talk about them. And yes - we do ALL have to live with who was voted into the Oval Office. Let's ALL try and make the best of it. I've stated who I voted for and how I felt.

Cherie - I am finding the articles that you are posting very interesting. I do still agree with you on this subject, but like I said we ALL have to live with the vote.

Red face

Hey Sparkle,
Good to see you.
Maybe we shouldn't live with the vote.
Check THIS out!

The Vote was flawed by Electronic Touch Screen Voting.

The new electronic voting machines had documented problems on voting
day. USA TODAY wrote about it

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/te...04-11-04-1000-
reports_x.htm

When some voters selected "KERRY" it would register it as a vote for
"BUSH." One person, who kept selecting to review their vote, said it
took them 17 tries to select Kerry as their vote on the touch screen
and that everytime they clicked on Kerry it would register as Bush.

Since there is no paper trail for electronic voting, exit polls are the
only way we can check for discrepancies and whether the machines are
functioning properly.

Election exit polls taken for electronic ballots were totally off
verses exit polls taken for paper ballots were pretty right on with the
results.

A. PAPER BALLOT APPROXIMATES

CNN subtraced 25,000 Ohio votes from John Kerry to coincide with the
results. Here are screenshots of the Ohio exit polls before and after

This is a fun link. Cherie Bomb is even in there with us.
On Thursday evening, I watched a report on PBS, the educational channel for central Iowa not supported by corporate America, interviewing in-country soldiers in Iraq that have been stationed there for over a year. Their responses were varied, but several made the following comment. "We're training and arming these people to attack us in the future." Ah, come on, I thought that was a Bill Clinton thing ? If the public only knew the reality of how this mess started. Who trained and armed the Taliban to give the Russians fits ? Bill Clinton with an executive order. He robbed the social security funds to finance it. He's not the first to pull that one. And who did we have to push out in the war in the middle east ? The Taliban.
I think we outta give the Japanese more factories and scrap steel so they can bomb us again.
In all seriousness, it's not the so-called "terrorists" I'm most concerned about-It's the Red Chinese. They're quietly building their military strength and watching everything we do. Those are the ones that are gonna go for broke and I hope we're watching them very closely. Bush can spend all the money he wants on national security to keep a sharp eye on the Chinese. No, I don't trust them and their international trade agreements.

And Sparklelynx, let us all know if you get your orders to make that fun C-130 journey so we can all write to ya when ya get shipped. I've got a nephew over there now in RA (that's regular Army to the civilians). I say prayers every day he comes home in one piece. One of our hometown boys from Ankeny, Iowa (my former alma mater) just came back missing an arm from a Al-qaeda rocket attack.
