I am not saying the kid shouldn't be punished, just that I think it is wrong that he was being singled out for this discussion.

Well if people single out the reasons, thats an issue, but unless there are multiple players dealing with issues such as this, kind of hard to not single out. Options are close your eyes and pretend it didn't happen.

We have previously had other people transfer, who were discussed regularly. As the topics in the past was about people being mad at them, a stalking coach, being run off at practice, bailing on teammates to go to great city, etc etc

IMO as long as people don't start discussing the reasons, and leave it like a paper would cover this, 'violation of team rules', its no different than discussing why a player didn't come back out for a team or why someone transfers.

Instead of seeing a martyr, see that most people aren't discussing the reason for it, but the legality of the transfer.

Whatever Rock, you own the board and we all are guests on here. I just see it as a double standard. I made mention a couple of years ago about a player(not drug related or in any trouble in any way). It was about his quality of play and every mod on here to include you jumped my throat on it. This, even though it is about eligibility, has an underlying meaning about the kid. I just say leave his name out of it and continue on with the discussion. Change the topic post or whatever. It is wrong leave his name on here like that and you know it.

I understand how the 'transfer deal' works. You have to move to that school district with your parents/legal guardian. My question is, after VHSL approves the transfer what keeps those 'transfers' from continuing to live at their original 'address'???? and what or who if anyone 'follows up' on these transfers?

The kid must be pretty smart, he's played three years for PV. IF YOU CAN'T BEAT THE RAIDERS! WHY NOT BE A RAIDER!!!!

Moveng in with a new Legal guardian does NOT automaticly make said player elegable without the death of the custotal parent

As to part 2 technacly the player could be rated out and if the rater had proff that the team/player in question was thumbing its nose at the system then there would a forfit for each game that the player played in......That being said I am sure we ALL know situations that kids transfered but did not move (Most at least rented a place in the school district to at least make it look legit)
