Evidently I didn't.
Not trying to stir the pot...but this new poster has the voracity of the Pac.
I'm fairly confident he's one and the same.
boney me and you are like daylight and dark until it comes to reason..lol
What I think he meant was...by saying that he wont be a public figure until he gets paid to play HS football, which of course would never happen so he means that there is no such thing as a public figure in HS football
Damn I hope not. HokieBird/PacMan/JorgeChristSuperstar was a royal PITA.

Me and you may not be as different as you think... but then, even if we are, reason is what brings change. iron sharpens iron...

He's back!
Ok this got absolutely insane.
As far as the topic, I dont think anybody has gotten into any specifics. Which is what they shouldn't do, but you also can't close your eyes and turn a blind eye to the world. I'm pretty confident that it was at least addressed with a 'failure to follow team rules' or something in the press at one point. That could mean he missed practices, he forgot his socks to many times, he was caught slinging boogers or whatever. Thats why its a vague descrption.
Now I've also said from what I have heard, there was more serious issues, and that I think the bigger issue should be the kid. It's funny, the excuses are he needs to be with a team or something, he has been, obviously that hasn't been a deciding factor. Now will he potentially get worse without some structure? Possible. That's like saying the guy that constantly beats his wife would really go to heck if he got arrested and put in jail, so let's just keep giving him chances, eventually he'll get better. I'm all for giving people multiple chances, but I also realize at some point, you have to punish someone, and let them deal with the consequences.
I guess my opinion is this, if someone gets into trouble at a school to whatever reason it is to be removed from a team or a privledge (be that a club or whatever), I don't really think that it's in the best interests of the person to overlook that due to athletic gifts or anything.
It's kind of like we sit on here and talk about athletes never learning, we've talked about college players, NFL player or whatever, guess where that type of behavior started? It started because dang they had abilities and people would always give them more chances, more chances, overlook their behavior or mistakes because of what they could do for a team or program, not in any form or shape what was in the best interest of the kid, no matter what someone wants to say.
I hope the kid straightens out, I really do. I hope that the tenth chance or whatever this is, is the one that works. That being said, I wonder if someone was kicked out (not saying thats what happened but as an example) of one school for bringing a gun to school or whatever, if everybody would be jumping through hoops and screaming about how everybody should just look the other way and smile when they came to another school.
There are consequnces for actions, be that a juvenille or an adult. We all talk about its who you know sometimes that gets some people playing time or a job or what not, what exactly do you think this is?
Glad to see we have a new idiot posting on the forum!
