Don't be stupid LOL since the Pinkstons started 9th grade at PV they could live in outer mongola and it would be legal to play for PV.
The rules I have posted were for TRANSFERING which is what The kid is TRYING to do.
Now if the kids mother lives in Norton AND the kid is going to be liveing with her then the VHSL will have NO PROBLEM with it......However everything I had been hearing was the kid would be liveing with people OTHER than his mother OR father which the VHSL WILL have a problem with

What about this situation?
But, considering he has lived with his grandmother for years and now decides to go live with his mother they do have a fight against the VHSL ruling because that is his legal guardian. In doing that that would not make the other brother not able to play since he has been established since the 9th grade.
What happens if hes 18?? I dont know his age, just curious what would happen if something like this did happen and the kid was of age

I am not sure how old he is, close to turning 18 though, if he is not already. The point I am trying to make is will the VHSL try to push this knowing the circumstances?I can almost assure you that they wil not touch it, they will leave it up to the coach.Jimbo has let him practice, does anyone know if he played this past Friday?
There has to be a change in residence to change schools according to the rules. If mother lived in Norton and had legal custody when he entered school at PV, then seems to me he would have to move to PV attendance zone and then back to Norton, if that makes sense.
That would be the same if my son had started the 9th grade at PV while living in Wise. He couldn't just transfer back to Kelly and become eligible immediately.
Unless you change residence you have to sit a year, and he doesnt have one to sit.
It will save A Lot of time if you guys just read the hand book

From what I understand, it's a whole lot tougher for custody change to come into play, since he would no longer be a juvenile. It couldn't be ruled on in juvenile court.
I don't believe age is even in the consideration for eligibility.
