First off, his "chance" at DB was never a go and he never "blew" it over there. Their coach called Phil Robbins and Phil told him what was going on and he never gave him a shot, so NO he didn't blow it over there. Know what the hell you are talking about before spouting off at the mouth.

No, he blew it at PV, he never got the chance to blow it at DB, big difference. You can't blow something if you don't get the chance.

The kid is never gonna learn from his mistakes if he can dodge the system. He'll only learn that there is always a way out of trouble, so why should he do the right thing?

My 2 cents worth: He should never be allowed to play anywhere, at anytime - from here on out. He was given multiple chances to rectify his situation at PV, and he CHOSE not to do so. Adams, (if he allows him to play), is setting s terrible precedent. Folks, it ain't about winning and losing - it's about establishing and building life-long character traits - things like taking responsibility, realizing that certain actions have reactions, that ultimately the individual is responsible for his actions, that life requires working with others and has little place for "me-ism", etc. Phil has made the right decision - I hope Jimbo does the same.

I think you all are misinterpreting my statement. I only said to leave him alone because he was underage and still in high school. Let them take care of him there, don't let us do it on this board. That is just wrong to bash him on this board the way you all are. Over 18 and out of high school? Then yeah go after him, but until then let the authorities, schools, and parents deal with it.

If you screw up in your life, it affects you later, so yes that is blowing it. Everybody makes mistakes, but you also sometimes have to deal with the consequences, you can't always say "whoops"

That is not my point but I know what you are saying.

I know the reason he was unable to play for PV. Considering this reason I would have to say that it was a county policy that he not play because he violated a serious rule that was in place. Norton is not a county school even though they are governed by VHSH guidlines. It would be soley up to the coach, which in this case is Jimbo to determine whether or not he should play. If I were Jimbo I would just make sure it was a good decision for the team and that the kid was a team player. Kids are going to mess up time and time again and if Jimbo sees that he needs a chance then I am sure Jimbo will do that if he sees fruit and change coming from the young man. </div></div>


The reason the VHSL may not let him play is lack of a parent livening in the Norton school district (A guardian is not enough for the VHSL) </div></div>

He has lived with his grandparents fo rthe longest time, but I know that it was just because it was the way it had to be. In legal terms his "mother " lives in Norton, so therfor it would be legit.
