If the Reds go 8-8 the rest of the way the Cardinals have to go undefeated to win the division. It's over, it's past time they (the Reds) start resting players and trying somebody else as the closer. Chapman needs to be the closer now while Phillips and Rolen need all the rest they can handle going into the playoffs.

grats to the reds on finally playing up to their potential. we sucked it up this year. i think we are 21 losses out of the last 30.

we have all but given up, its pure ****ed pitiful in st. louis, i wouldnt go to a game if somebody gave me tickets and paid me to watch

The magic number is almost 3 for the Braves too. 3 more losses and they can kiss the postseason goodbye.

Speaking of 3, the Cardinals are only 3 games over .500.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Reds win the Central, with HOUSTON coming in 2nd place instead of the Cards.
