Re: Abortion

IMO abortion isn't exactly black and white.

I DO oppose women using it as birth control (alternative: have the baby and give it up to a family that wants it).

However, what about a case where a 9 or ten old is impregnanted through rape/incest (many girls that age have gone through puberty), or the same for the mentally/physically impaired.

There are also cases where a baby has a defect that is ultimately fatal but would also cause great suffering to the infant after birth....

I can see how grey areas of the subject can make it difficult to make one black or white call on the matter.
You'll shoot your eye out.

Another line from the SAME story..right from abortion to not being able to choose to salt my food. Think his scale is a few grams off?

The New York Sun today, for example, has an interesting article on the next battle about to be waged against the latest and most diabolical civic enemy ? salt. Government infringements on personal choice always begin with "harmless,"? "reasonable-sounding"? discussions draped in genuine "concern."? Recall that "fatty oils"? have been banned from city restaurants. It was for our own good. (Jackboots anyone?) Before you know it, salt shakers in New York City restaurants will be a thing of the past. Customers will be allowed two licks of a salt block for each heavily regulated and precisely-measured serving of food

Re: Abortion

Not everyone thinks abortion is wrong. And I am talking about religious people. Why do you think that a lot of churches (Catholic to) are split over this issue? Its a narrow minded view IMO. Obama isnt pro-abortion, he is pro-choice. As am I and a lot of others.

Re: Abortion

What's sad is some politicians ( from both sides) are against the death penalty for murders and child molesters and rapist but they'll let a 21 ,who wants to party so she don't want a kid, have an abortion. That's crazy to me . I believe there are many circumstances where abortion is necessary but in other situations it's wrong and cruel. I'm not trying to change anybody's mind I was just seeing what everyone else thought Opinions can't be wrong

I've always been intrigued by the concept of close-mindedness. Liberals use it like a weapon of war, like it's only part of conservative ideology. Yet the same definition applies to the libs. Close-mindedness means simply that one's mind is closed, and isn't open for reconsideration. Reminds me of the other post going on here presently about the definition of religion. Dogma/religion/philosophy all limit our open mindedness. Truth seekers will find their way around such obstructions.

You are the most narrow minded person when it comes to politics i've ever encountered and that's no lie
