Sorry, I wanted to write you a pn or mail, but you have disabled this function. So I have to ask/beg you this way.

    Yesterday my Cain tankoubons ( ) arrived and I know that you are doing translations of the Red Ram story. Would you mail me your translations? Then I'd be able to read the story. Oh, please, please!

    No prob - check your mailbox! ^__^ (I'm still working on section #5 and didn't have it in my mail to be able to forward, but I'll try to send it tonight; might possibly be able to finish it tonight if I get the homework done fast...)

    Since I started on #2, I can give you a capsule summary of the rest of #1 also if you like, but I can't sit down and translate it that fast... ^^;; if I could, I'd go get a job as a manga translator instead of a technical writer...

    (sweatdrop) The truth is I'm a lazy scheming bum!

    Okay, it's kind of hard work finding the right words to get across the right nuances, but (as evidenced from all the fanfic I write) I *love* playing with words, so I always offer to translate things...

    because that way people *won't* ask me to do the kind of hard work that drives me nuts, namely scanning and editing! ^^;; So I've got a lot of awe for anybody who's got the patience to do that, because I completely don't...

    Honestly, translating's so much easier (to me anyway) because everything I need comes either in my head or in a kanji dictionary, and JWPce runs on a handheld so it fits in my purse and goes everywhere. But to scan and edit, I'd have to be at my house with my cranky old Win98 and even crankier and older scanner and I'd have to convince Win98 not to crash on me long enough to get the funky scanner to cooperate and then talk to Photoshop without running out of memory and (sigh) it's SO much less frustrating when the only thing to kick around is my own head, not hardware and software problems... ^^;;;;

    anyway, I honestly think scanners and editors are the underappreciated members of the team, because although it seems to be harder to find translators, we don't have to fight with as much equipment in order to get our jobs done... ^^;;;

    Amen to that, Risu-chan! I think that editing can be fun, but it's sooo time consuming. It takes me 3 times as long for me to edit something as it does to translate the same thing. -___- Of course, I really dislike scanning the most. That's sometimes why I get behind in some projects. I have all the translations, but I never have the patience to sit down and just scan 35 pages in. >_< Oh, and you don't need a fast computer to translate!

    Thank you! Thank you! This must be very hard work... I hope that I can pay back with editing or scanning maybe?

    Oh yes, I can agree. To make tranparent bubbles or something like that looking good is not easy, but I think I manage this and I have a lot of time... I don't have to go to school or work like you, because of my illness... If I could do something for sakura-crisis.net I'd be very glad.

    Never mind. Maybe I shouldn't have said this. It's chronical and if it stays as it is, I'm content with it. Yes, I'm sitting in a wheelchair. Please don't pity me. Everything is all right.

    You're right about that yue! And the thought text that goes over an image is such a pain in the butt! It has got on my nerves so much that when I look through my Cain manga I find myself checking to see if there is any text like that XD

    I like scanning better than editing ^v^ Because I can do it and something else at the same time. (Like talking on the phone or watching TV) If I'm editing and talking on the phone I usually end up blocking out what the person is saying. But when I actually want to edit a manga I get it finished really quick. ^_^

    Can't wait to start scanning those God Child books....Cain in 300 DPI ::swoon!!::

    hum, from what I've seen I like editing better! Because while scanning, my scans for one, is reaaaly crappy, and you have to click on stupid stuff all along the way so you can't realy do anything while it scans. I gave it go (scanning X'99 manga 9 cuz I don't that manga anymore and don't care if it gets broken but want to give the manga scans society the only thing I can) and it's hell ~@___@~ so editing is the best ^_____^

    nd I don't talk about translating since I dont know a thing in japenese (but do translate and edite some manga in english, espagnol and portuguese for my french friends ^^

    we oughta do a poll to see what people like doing the best, I bet it'd be pretty equal everywhere.
