The party hasn't died down fully just yet. And if there are burnouts happening, you could make an "After leaving the party, people went here to do burnouts" thread. It's a little long-winded, but it gets the point across. Sure, ten words is lots. Ten is way more than six.

Just testing the waters a bit, we have a new (semi OOC) thread. Best case scenario, we get some intelligent conversation, and more posts on Incident. The place has died down a little, and hints (however crude or obvious as they are) to our usual posters can't be too harmful... Right?

I thought of a new idea for a thread. It involves us having gangs or mobs, of a sort. So we each control our usual character, plus three or four other 'expendable' characters. The idea is that we could stage fights, but we could control hopeless people who get beaten up.


I also think we should attempt to a) Either finish or nuke the party, one or the other, I don't care. It's Chris' turn to post anyway, and b) Start the Sci Fi thing.

Also: Clarke Anderson was better before he wasn't involved in anything. At least nuke-Clarke was interesting. Crashed-in-the-desert-Clarke is well, crashed in the desert.

Tiberius - I take it the "second stool from the far end" of the Cafeteria represents our sister board? Have I said too much? I was actually thinking that (to satisfy James Winters) the cafeteria would be set on a volcano in space. But you beat me to it.
Nora - A doctor. Of course. Originally I had hedged my bets for you to not take part at all, and not cause anyone undue stress or death. Now I see my mistake. Now, you are a participating member of a combat thread, but in an "It's my job to help people in need" role.
I would say more, but I'm a little pressed for time. Shakespeare and weasels are calling my name.

So you're saying tat you're going to write the weasel story now? I'm sure we can think of better ideas for that, anyway...

Thesecond stool from the far end meant that there was a row of stools, right, and Tiberius sat at the-one-next-to-the-one-at-the-end. Ie, the second stool from the end. This has nothing to do with minority report. At all. Get it?

And I'm getting confused in the scifi thing, yes even though I started it.
I think we should explain or individual situations. Kinda like we did in Fantasy RP but, not sort of. We could do it in cafeteria if you like, but I feel that here would be more appropriate. So I am:

Captain Tiberius Frost of the Starship Excalibur, which is alot like the Enterprise-E in size, style, fighting capabilities, etc.

I'm on the base to quell the Martian uprising but we were the first ship there, so we're waiting for reinforcements.
(thanks Martin, for providing a bit of story, a task I suppose I failed to attempt. Is Joseph Martian? And are the martians human? I think of Martians like in the Solar Colonies, just coloured humans, but Nora said they're not human.)
I think Martin should explain about the workers since it was his idea. Is it like Red Faction? No? No.

I would have had my martians human, because they always are (Red Faction, Starsiege, etc) but I deliberately didn't specify it to see what would happen. Nora's made the martians non-human, so we'll stick with that.

For arguments sake, they can be ugly humanoids with grey reptalian skin. They are physically weaker than humans but generally faster (think gymnast build). Their species is not originally from Mars: Martins are those of their species who have lived on Mars for several generations and have therefore had closer contact with humans than with their homeworld. This is why Martians speak English.

And Chinese.


Bullet-points:

-The leaders of the Martian revolution had inhabited the lower levels of the incomplete space station two weeks ago.

-The Martians had co-ordinated an uprising throughout the Empire

-There are some construction workers on the space station who were unaware of the Martian presence.

-Dr. Fraser will be evacuating the workers.
Combat units will be boading the station

- The atmostphere on the lower levels (at least) of the station is rapidly deteriorating.

- The Martians themselves are also trying to evacuate.

-two Martian-controlled Ashatara-B model 908-T (combat) ships have entered the reigon.

Imperial (?) reinforcements are now on their way.

- Frost and the Excalibur are here to stop\kill the Martians.

Excalibur cannot transport Frost + his men off the station until another shield relay is destroyed.

Excalibur has lost its long range communications (may be unable to identify the other ships?)

- Caster and Pollox have arrived in star destroyers.

- Assumption: Nora is on an 'Imperial' ship and belongs to 'the Empire'.


Questions that must be answered some time:

1. Is Frost on Fraiser's side? If so, the reinforcements may aid in rescuing Frost.

If not, he might be some kind of freelance hero. What is his standing with the Empire?

2. Are Caster + Pollix on Fraiser's side? if so, they must be the Imperial reinforcements that were approaching.

If not, they belong to a different faction. (I assume they're not supporters of the Martian-led rebellion...)
