But if he dated "former" players or not shouldn't even be an issue should it? If she had graduated HS and was of age she can date who she wants no matter if one agrees with it or not, right?

And as far as the former asst., there are only allegations toward him. If there were no witnesses it is a case of he said/she said.

And Rock, thanks for keeping a handle on this the best you can. We are dealing with a man's job and life. Let's let the facts come out before we put the noose around anyone's neck.

Do not know the coach nor do I have any personal knowledge of the situtation, but I do know the Scott County School System and your post is exactly right.

The greatness of his coaching does not and should not matter in this. It's simply a question if anything was illegal or inappropriate.

Okay let me draw a picture.... some say he is innocent right? Yes.. maybe they say that because they do not have all the evidence... the only reason he would lose his job is if the accusations were proven to be true.. right? So in a nutshell.. who in the world in their right mind would be okay with a coach or school figure dating his freshly graduating pupils... only like a 20 or so year difference and not to mention that he works at the school and that he coaches... or maybe he is a trusted figure in the community. Some things are ethecial and some are not..... may you decide.

Again, someone can come on here and say that you're knocking the bottom out of someone you coach. Or go to the administration and complain that you are. The school board thinks it is something they need to investigate. They suspend you as a coach. Now did you do it? Nope. But you have 'lost your job', so the accusations must be true, right? Ok, so they find out that the person didn't like you, made the stuff up, you're reinstated, do you honestly think that makes you innocent or do you hear a bunch of people talking about 'how you had connections and they protected you'.

In a nutshell, your post makes it sound like you think that things happen like they should in a perfect little world. But that is not the case. Once an accusation is leveled at a teacher or coach, it never goes away. You guys act like this whole thing is just going to be "settled", but that is wrong. He will carry the stigma of all the trash you gossip hounds have written on here for a long time. So maybe all you self righteous witch hunters should find somethin else to concentrate on besides ruining someone's life. You guys talk about what is morally right or wrong and then turn right around and gossip about the whole situation. In my opinion what you all are doing is as wrong as the things he is accused of.

Right on Rocket, I too wonder how he would be able to coach due to the critisism if he is aquited??? And for GC1: if a 45 year old man made a pass at my 18 year old freshly graduated daughter...I'd prolly put him in the hospital if not the funeral home, maybe thats not the opinion of some, but i doubt they have daughters...
